Clouds over the Florida Keys Flats Really, it is hard to take bad pictures in the waters west of Key West. Just add a Circular Polarizer filter to a good lens mounted to a good camera. 21mm f/11.0 1/60s ISO 125 |

Desert View, Grand Canyon National Park Desert View is at the east end of the the Grand Canyon National Park's south rim road. It is a very unique structure that, unfortunately was under heavy rehabilitation construction during my visit. To avoid the yellow and orange heavy equipment, I strategically-positioned trees and then shot upward. The lens flare frames the stone building nicely. 21mm f/8.0 1/60s ISO 125 |

Swimming Pool Landscape The round lines of a swimming pool frame the bright, sky-reflecting water and lead to a little girl standing on a diving board. 21mm f/11.0 1/40s ISO 100 |

Hamilton Park, NJ I found the curving handrails leading to the piece of art to be interesting. Even with a 3300k white balance setting, this 13 second exposure image still has a unique color. 21mm f/11.0 13.0s ISO 200 |

Grand Canyon Landscape A strong haze required contrast to be added to this shot. You might ask, why not shoot this at ISO 100? Wind is the answer. Very strong wind required a slightly faster shutter speed than I would usually be able to use for a shot such as this. 21mm f/8.0 1/60s ISO 160 |

Pool and House at Night Want to create a starburst effect from the lights in your picture? A narrow aperture will make this happen. A lens with an even number of aperture blades will create the same number of rays as the number of aperture blades. A lens with an odd number of aperture blades will create twice the number of rays as the number of aperture blades. In this picture, 18 rays indicate 9 aperture blades. 21mm f/16.0 15s ISO 200 |

Desert View Lookout The architecture of Desert View in Grand Canyon National Park is very unique. This image was taken while peering up the center of the building. 21mm f/4.0 1/25s ISO 1600 |
