The Canon LP-E8 Battery is the power source for several iterations of Canon EOS Rebel models inclusing the T2i, T3i, T4i and T5i.

These are very compact Li-ion batteries with a decent shot rating for their size. It's always good to have at least one spare battery with you, especially if you are shooting video.
