The tiny Canon LP-E12 Battery is the power source for the also-tiny Canon EOS M and Canon EOS Rebel SL1.
If you use your EOS M much, you are going to want a pocketfull of these - the EOS M is rated for only up-to-230 shots per charge.
It also makes a great deal of sense for SL1 owners to have at least one or two spare batteries on hand.
