The Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter mounts on a light stand such as the Bogen Manfrotto Light Stand. It allows the attachment of a flash (such as the Canon 580EX Flash, Canon 550EX Flash or Canon 420EX Flash) and an umbrella (such as the Photogenic Eclipse Umbrella) to the light stand.
I attach a shoe-mounted flash to the Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter using a Stroboframe Flash Mount Adapter
I don't find the Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter to be extraordinary, but it gets the job done - and does not feel like it is going to break.
