Skunk Cabbage

Skunk cabbage is one of the first green plants to show up in early spring. While this plant does not have a welcome aroma, the color of these leaves look great against the stark. For this picture, I oriented the lines in the leaf so that they angled and curved through the frame - and kept the stark background out of the frame.
