A mother Bison and her calf cross a Yellowstone National Park roadway. In the background, a famous yellow Yellowstone tour bus waits for a clear road. Bison crossings and the traffic jams they create are common in the larger valleys of the park - Hayden and Lamar Valleys. It is not unusual to have to wait for 30 minutes while a large heard of these large animals take their time crossing the road. It was great fun to watch and listen to the animals interact with each other. I never minded the wait.
