Canon EOS R1 Resolution and Noise Test Results

Noise (196 samples) and resolution test results from the Canon RF 85mm F1.2 L USM Lens are now available on the Canon EOS R1 page.

As expected, the EOS R1 and R3 resolution and noise are essentially the same.

Note that the EOS R1 and R5 II noise levels are also the same when the final image size is matched at 24 MP. While the R5 II's pixel level noise is higher at its native resolution, matched final output size eliminates the mythical low resolution advantage.
