From Canon U.S.A:
Canon Announces Additional Details of EOS R5 Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera Currently In Development
Following-up on the development announcement of Canon’s most advanced full-frame the mirrorless camera ever, the EOS R5, Canon has additional details to share, including information on the camera’s 8K video recording, Dual Pixel CMOS AF and a new “Animal Detection” auto focus technology.
The EOS R5 will record internal 8K video capture up to 29.97fps, using the full width of the image sensor and will feature Canon’s revolutionary Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology in all 8K recording modes. In addition, with newly developed live view AF technologies seen in the EOS-1D X Mark III flagship camera as a basis, EOS R5 will implement “Animal Detection” auto focus technology. The AF technology will help users steadily track animals such as dogs, cats and birds by detecting the body, face, or eye of the subject, helping to ensure fast and accurate capture of quick-moving objects.
