Headlining the Canon RF lens inventory is a like new RF 135mm F1.8 Lens ("Like new with open box and full manufacturer's warranty or 1-year B&H warranty"). This lens will sell immediately. RF 15-35mm, RF 24-70mm, RF 16mm, RF 35mm F1.8, RF 85mm F2, and RF 100mm macro lenses also just arrived.

This report shows the Entertainment, Technology & Services and Imaging and Sensing Solutions divisions looking strong.
On a trip targeting the Bisti / De-Na-Zin Wilderness Area in New Mexico, I ended up in Bears Ears National Monument, Utah.
Why? Two reasons.
First, 3 days of sand and dust storms (even stones were in the air) provided an unfavorable New Mexico greeting. Second, Bears Ears National Monument has some great photo subjects.
This image is of House on Fire in Mule Canyon, Cedar Mesa. Late in the morning, the sun reaches the red rock below this ancient Puebloan granary, creating a warm-toned light that reflects up into the massive rock overhang. That warm light color combines with lines in the rock to create the look of a raging fire over the ancient building.
Photographers chose a wide range of editing choices for this subject, some including red color tone emphasis and wild saturation. The chosen concept is typically to make the flames appear intense, and personal preference or audience preference rules (unless processing for a client).
I opted to process this image using the cloudy white balance setting, cooler than the shade option technically right for the scenario (6500k vs. 7500k), with a bit of vibrance (+30) to bring out the richness in the colors.
House on Fire affords a wide variety of compositions. To fully cover the focal length range potentially desired, I carried two awesome zoom lenses, the Sony FE 12-24mm F2.8 GM Lens and the Sony FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II Lens.
Primarily, the 12-24mm lens met the needs, delivering this corner-to-corner sharp image in a single shot.

The RF 135 far outperforms its predecessor, the Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM Lens, at a 1/3 stop wider aperture setting.
The Sony FE 135mm F1.8 GM Lens is an outstanding performer, but the Canon RF 135 is sharper at f/1.8.
The Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens also falls short of the RF 135's outstanding performance.

While camera sales revenue increased 8.5% in the 1st quarter vs. 2022 (16% increase for the full year), the number of digital interchangeable lens camera units sold decreased by 6%. Canon still expects to see a 1% growth in unit sales in 2023.

A Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports Lens firmware update is coming soon.
This firmware update will incorporate the following fixes and enhancements:
- By updating the image stabilization algorithm to the newly developed OS2, the image stabilization performance will be improved from approximately 4 stops to approximately 6.5 stops at the wide end and 5.5 stops at the telephoto end. (Based on CIPA standard, measured with a 35mm full-frame camera at focal lengths of 150mm and 600mm)
- In addition, for Sony E-mount lenses, the AF-C tracking performance has been improved.

Canon EOS R3 firmware update version 1.4.1 is available for download.
Note that only items 7, 8, and 9 are new since version 1.4.0.
Firmware Version 1.4.1 incorporates the following fixes and enhancements:
- Compatible with Speedlite EL-5. *It is not compatible with the automatic dimming function of the AF auxiliary light.
- Added [Registered people priority] to the menu. Pre-registered people can now be preferentially detected and tracked.
* The effect may not be obtained depending on the scene or shooting environment where the subject is moving, when the face is small, when the face is slanted/side profile, when part of the face is hidden, or when the subject is moving. - [Save/load communication settings to card] has been added to the menu. Network settings can now be inherited between cameras of the same model.
- [Panning Assist] has been added to the menu. When panning using a compatible lens, "camera shake correction" and "subject blur correction" are performed during exposure.
- Shortened the time it takes for the AWB results to be reflected in the viewfinder when looking through the viewfinder with the auto white balance (AWB) setting.
- "Image protection" for FTP transfer has been added to the menu. Images transferred by FTP can now be automatically protected. This makes it possible to determine whether or not the image has been FTP-transferred.
- After updating to firmware version 1.4.0, the phenomenon that Err70 may occur under certain conditions in combination with some EF lenses has been corrected.
- After updating to firmware version 1.4.0, when using the electronic shutter for high-speed continuous shooting, depending on the shooting conditions, the original tracking performance of Servo AF may not be obtained.
- Fixed minor bugs.
