During CES, Christopher Schodt (Video Producer at engadget) sat down with Canon Senior Technical Specialist Drew MacCallum and Nikon Senior Technical Manager Steve Heiner to discuss the recently released EOS R and Z 7 / Z 6, the impact of mirrorless technologies on camera and lens design and their respective benefits to consumers.

This is one of the first times I've seen two higher-ups from Canon and Nikon sitting side-by-side and discussing newly released products. I found the respect the two technical specialists show toward each other and their opposing brands quite refreshing. [Sean]

In this episode of Two Minute Tips with David Bergman, David explains the benefits of using an L-bracket on your camera.

Warning: Once you get used to using an L-bracket, you may find living without one to be quite difficult/annoying. I always factor in the cost of a Really Right Stuff or Kirk L-bracket when purchasing a new camera. Be sure to choose the correct model to fit your camera; if you intend on using a battery grip, you'll need to purchase an L-bracket specifically designed to fit your camera+battery grip combination. Mike Mandel’s Baseball Photographer Trading Cards (1975) is more or less a standard set of trading cards, except for one thing: rather than famous athletes, Mandel’s cards feature photographers. For the series, Mandel shot some of the greatest photographers of the twentieth century, including Imogen Cunningham, Ed Ruscha, and even Ansel Adams, whose portrait session didn’t go quite as planned.
