A suggestion for those of you wanting a 5D III ASAP: Include the with-kit-lens version on your preorder list. Canon has occasionally made the with-lens version of their DSLRs available first. Also, the number of preorders for the body-only 5D Mark III FAR outnumber the with-lens version preorders.

As I mentioned yesterday, B&H is accepting preorders for the game-changing Canon EOS C300 Digital Cinema System.

Note that this camera will not (initially at least) be available at all Canon authorized dealers. Only 17 dealers will be authorized to sell the Canon Cinema EOS System. Many third party accessories should be available by release date which is listed as on or after Jan 30th.

The Canon CN-E 14.5-60mm T2.6 L S Cinema Zoom Lens (EF or PL Mount) is priced at $42,750.00 and the CN-E 30-300mm T2.95-3.7 L S EF Mount Cinema Zoom Lens (EF or PL Mount) is priced at $44,650.00. Both prices are lower than expected - the Canon Prime and Zoom Cinema Lenses for Cinema EOS System press release listed the prices as $45,000.00 and $47,000.00 respectively.
