The Canon LP-E6 Battery is the power source for the
Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR
and the Canon EOS 7D DSLR.
These batteries were impossible to get for many months after the 5D II hit the streets.
And if you found one on the shelf, the price was hard to swallow.
Better days have come - the LP-E6 is readily available and the price is much better.
It's always good to have at least one spare battery - especially if you are shooting video.
