How do you make your laptop (or desktop for that matter) run significantly faster? Install a Solid State Drive (SSD).
I first started using SSDs nearly two years ago - and was extremely pleased with the performance boost they gave me - especially for loading applications. I am currently using a Crucial Technology 256GB RealSSD C300 2.5" SATA 6Gbps Solid State Drive
and simply love it.
A 256GB capacity is certainly not large enough for archiving image files, but it is plenty of space for my image work-in-process (which is under a very healthy backlog I might add). External hard drives provide for my multi-redundant archive storage requirements.
I paid $500 for my Crucial 256GB RealSSD C300 just 7 months ago. B&H
currently has a limited number of Crucial 256GB RealSSD C300 SSDs
available at a sale price of only $389.95
